The Bromo Sunrise

One of special tourist attractions in BTSNP is sunrise. Tourists can see the spectacular sunrise with orange rays of the sun, the appearance of landscape behind, and the uniqueness of natural phenomenon. It can be enjoyed from some viewpoints: Pananjakan; B-29; Bukit Ayu; Bukit Setya; Bukit Cinta ; and Mentigen.

 

 

  1. Pananjakan                                                                                                                                                   Pananjakan is the most popular viewpoint to see the sunrise. It is well known as the best place to see Mt. Bromo and its vicinity. The facilities in this viewpoint is quite complete.
  2. B-29 Point                                                                                                                                                       It is located at an altitude of 2,900 m above sea level, being the highest view point in this area. B-29 is well-known as the land above the clouds. Access to this location is not good, but these all paid off with spectacular views: Argosari plantation on one side, and the amazing Bromo Caldera with thick clouds.
  3. Bukit Ayu                                                                                                                                                       “Bukit” means “hill”. It is located at an altitude of 2,680 m above sea level, near Pananjakan View Point. Access to this location is good. This view point equipped with a garden, a small mosque and a pavilion.
  4. Bukit Cinta                                                                                                                                                   Bukit Cinta is also known as Love Hills. This area has not been built. It is not equipped with facilities, but it looks more natural.
  5. Mentigen                                                                                                                                                           Mentigen is the most easily accessable viewpoint, close to hotels and venues. “Mentigen” taken from the word “Mentigi”, a name of beautiful native plant of this region.
